Hina doll Festival 雛祭り

Hello everyone!

Yesterday was girls festival in Japan.

We pray for their growth and happiness with Hina dolls.

My mother in law made one of specialities for this day,

which is Chirashi Sushi then brought it us

with some season's sweets.

To complete our table I cooked clam soup and simmered fish.

They say that Clam Hamaguri is symbol of happiness

between married couples, because a pair of calms fit perfectly.

昨日は雛祭りでした。

義母がちらし寿司を作って和菓子と一緒に持って来てくれました。

わたしは潮汁を作って、鯛の荒煮を添えて

雛祭り御膳が出来上がりました。

蛤は夫婦和合を象徴しています。

なぜならば、2枚の貝殻はぴったりと合うからです。
