Hello everyone!

My summer memories from Hokkaido trip part 9.

My last day In Hokkaido

I visited Asahikawa city museum

to see exhibits for Ainu culture and history.

The Ainu are indigenous people of Japan who

are thought to have lived in a major part of Japan

in ancient times.

They were pushed northward by the Yamato race 

who are the predominant Japanese.

Very few still maintain their traditional culture.

They use their own language, 

they make tools and accessories by hand.

I respect very much them who have protected their history and culture.

The exhibition was really good!

夏の北海道旅行を振り返っています。

Part9です。

北海道滞在最終日は旭川市博物館を訪れ

アイヌに関する展示を観てきました。

アイヌ人は大昔に日本に住んでいたと考えられる先住民です。

彼らは現在の主たる日本人である大和民族によって北の方へ

追いやられました。

現在もほんのわずかではありながら、伝統的な文化を維持しています。

独自の言語を使い、道具から装飾品までを手で作り

歴史と文化を守ってきたアイヌ民族は尊いです。

展示はとても良かったです。
